Would you think it was strange if I told you I am paying another company to design a logo for me? I mean I'm basically a graphic designer myself. I incorporate graphics into my photography all the time. And yes, until now I have designed my own logos.

Well as a photographer and artist I know full well the difference between being ABLE to do something and specializing in something. For example, one of my specialties is sportrait banner design. People tell me all the time how amazing my banners are and I believe it is because of my special skill set in lighting and putting together designs that compliment the subject. My training is in making the subject look great. I've spent years perfecting this skill.

I have not however, spent years studying logos and how to design them. In fact if you hired me to design your logo I probably wouldn't feel like I should charge you very much and you would get what you pay for if you know what I mean ;). I am learning that there are so many things to think about for a logo. Like how will it look on a sign? How will it look on a package? How will it look on my portraits versus my edgier team banners? Will it fit both styles? What does it communicate - corporate or specialty, feminine or masculine, old school or contemporary, cheap or expensive, fun or stuffy, and on and on. Who is its target audience? Does it fit my personality or the personality of my business?

I used to think saving money was king, cheap was great and DIY was smart. Over the years I've learned that cheap can cost more in the long run. I'm sure you can think of examples. So these days I often don't mind paying more to get more and more doesn't have to mean quantity, it can just mean quality too.

This is one busy Star!  Some of her extra curricular activities have included 3 years of FFA, Vet Science competition, Entemology judging, Cheer, Track, Varsity Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Student Council Spirit Coordinator, and this year's FFA Sentinel. She is also a Member of FBC Granbury.

She is shining in the National Honor Society and she made it to State in Entemology judging this year. She has had Reserve Grand Champion AND Grand Champion rabbits in the stock show! She is a State track champion and a TWO TIME State Basketball champion!

Sophie is very outgoing, extremely loyal, positive and kind. She also has the best sense of humor.

This girl Loves to ride 4-wheelers, and dirt bikes. She really enjoys playing football with her brothers. She also loves basketball, volleyball and cheer with her best friends.

Volunteer work has included Assistant coaching for Upwards elementary basketball. AAU basketball skills clinic middle school girls. Doing yard work for the elderly and disabled from church. Helping with the schools Equine program .

Sophie really shines in basketball and has been a starting player for the past 2 years.

An interesting fact about Sophie is that she can pretty much quote the movie Wild Hogs ;)

McKeeley's list of extra curricular activities include Varsity cheer, FFA, Choir, Show Choir, Theater, and volunteer work.

McKeeley enjoys feeding the homeless, serving with Mission Waco and volunteering at elementary schools.

She has a BIG heart! From animals to people to the environment, she truly cares about doing the right thing-even when no one is looking.

This girl is fearless. She is not afraid to step out and be the first one to start a new trend. She isn't afraid to step up and do or say what's right. She has a strong moral ethic.
